Approved Contractors

Your Kingfisher approved contractor has been trained in the correct preparation of the surfaces and application of our products. You can therefore have confidence that the work will be completed to the highest possible standards.

1. The "Kolourseal" System.

Roof survey and assessment.
Repair or replace any cracked or slipped tiles. Re-point as required.
"Bung" gutter down pipes to prevent debris blockage.
Wash down roof with pressure washer.
Use stiff bristle brush to remove stubborn contaminants.
Allow roof to dry. Take care ladders can crack tiles.
Sanitise roof by spraying with Kingfisher "Biocidal Wash" to kill algae and moss.
Remove vehicles from the vicinity and protect fragile plants.
Apply primer (asbestos roofs only).
Apply Kolourseal first coat (brush or spray).
Apply Kolourseal second coat (brush or spray).

Application Data

Kingfisher "Biocidal Wash"
Apply neat by brush or spray to the entire roof surface and leave to penetrate. Coverage is 4-6 sq metres per litre.
Note: If roof is contaminated with moss it may be necessary to "spot" treat certain heavily soiled areas after wash down.

Packaging: 5 litres

Kingfisher "Kolourseal"
Apply two coats by brush or spray, working first coat thoroughly into joints, tile ends and substrate.
Coverage (depending on porosity):
3 to 5 sq metres / litre (1st coat)
5 to 6 sq metres / litre (2nd coat)

Allow 4 to 6 hours between coats depending on weather / temperature.

Do not apply at temperatures below 6 deg C or if roof surface temperature exceeds 32 deg C.
Do not apply in wet weather or if rain is expected within 6 hours of final coat.
